Story

There’s a lifeline of connectivity to our home that we take for granted. Zoom calls, video game multiplayer, rabbit holes of TikTok, family FaceTimes, etc. Now we wanted to shed light on the efforts of those physically making that happen around the country. Splicing, digging, boring, connecting and more.

Solution

A four day content capture around those in the field on bucket trucks, in boring holes and in trailers splicing. From Las Vegas to Pensacola, we crewed up locally producing interviews and content captures. With COVID-19 occurring mid-production, we pivoted our storytelling to appreciate the behind the scenes work being done to be connected while in our homes.

Challenge

Since we were committed to showing the real work involved, we asked real employees to help us. Real situations. When you’re at the mercy of real schedules, producing can be challenging. Working diligently with local coordinators, we maximized days with authentic characters.
